I am thrilled to acknowledge the recent election of Nicușor Dan as the President of Romania. His victory marks a significant moment for the country, reflecting a collective choice for transparent governance, civic responsibility, and a commitment to democratic principles.

As a mathematician and reform advocate, President Dan has demonstrated a deep understanding of public administration and the needs of Romanian citizens. His work as the Mayor of Bucharest set a strong foundation for his leadership, characterized by integrity and a forward-looking vision for Romania’s role in Europe and beyond.

This election reaffirms Romania’s dedication to democracy, the rule of law, and its strategic alliances within the European Union and NATO. I am confident that under President Dan’s leadership, Romania will continue to grow stronger, more resilient, and more connected with its Western allies.

Congratulations to the people of Romania on this important achievement, and I look forward to seeing the positive changes that lie ahead.
